My name is Tabitha and I study Spanish and Linguistics at Pembroke College. I am a YouTuber and content creator who is passionate about connecting with and uplifting people and I started my channel with the intention to do just that. I wanted to increase representation and also give people, especially the younger generation, insight into what it’s like to live and work here, helping anyone who also wants to embark on the Oxbridge journey.

What’s it like running a channel whilst studying here?

Honestly a little tricky. It’s a test of time management to say the least and I’m not sure that I struck the balance quite right during first term. Tutors, I’m sorry! In many ways though, it has taught me to better organise my time, increased my levels of commitment and has given me the opportunity to listen to those in need, give time and effort and serve. I really enjoyed watching Oxtubers before I came so I thought to reciprocate what I valued. It’s amazing to be able to interact with people across the country, receive feedback about content and even better hearing the impact of what you have shared. Whether it be encouraging people to apply when they didn’t think they could, pushing someone to achieve their full potential or sharing tips that help lead to securing that offer. I love being able to share in that.

I value people. And I pray that real people are positively impacted by being transparent in sharing my experiences. Oxford can be tough, the terms are intense and the workload is hefty, but taking the time to film, edit and upload is definitely worth it as the ripple effects become visible.

I hope that more people are inspired to use their voice, express and share their experiences as there is worth in each individual perspective, especially the ones which are heard less often.
